I went over to an Apple Store during lunch and checked out the new Nano, Touch, and Classic. The Nano is total cool. 16G and when you want to shuffle a song, you shake it!! $199 for 16G. I covet immediately this toy.

The coolest toy I saw was the Dr. Dre Headphones. Unbelieveable sound. You could put these on and never take them off.....now they are $350 retail, but if you want to give an audiophile the ultimate gift...This is it. I own the Bose Noise cancelling phones that are $300 and the Dr. Dre's make mine sound like toys.

What does anyone think of iTunes 8? Is the genius playlist function just a marketing tool to get you to buy more music or has anyone found helpful?

Over the ear. And they are better...go to an Apple store or Best-Buy and listen for yourself.

I own the Bose too...Dr. Dre Beats...they are called.

I downloaded it...From what I see now, it just takes the songs in your library and matches them up...probably like they do on the store...like "If you bought this....you'll like this too".

I downloaded it...From what I see now, it just takes the songs in your library and matches them up...probably like they do on the store...like "If you bought this....you'll like this too".Yeah that was my feeling, too, but Apple's description makes it sound like the playlist will be generated from songs you already own, rather than songs you should buy.

Bob, or Ac, if you downloaded Genius (like I did), how do you get back to your original music library? I turned Genius off but it still has all that Album art and library formatted like the Genius library. Not sure I'm liking it. And I like to be able to sort my music sometimes by order of last downloaded and you can't on that format.

Thanks for the review... I have been toying with the idea of upgrading my headphones for those long plane rides...

I haven't bought them. My friend has them and loves them. If you listen to them you'll hear why. I don't need to sell them...just put them on in the store.

I'm moving my next toy to a Playstation 3 which has a Blu-ray player.

They are ordered. When I heard them I instantly knew I wouldn't be able to get them out of my mind. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced any downsides after having them for a bit.

My son just won a design contest for Playstation -- one winner for the entire USA! He designed a downloadable costume for LittleBigPlanet. I know nothing about it, but he was quite pleased. Now if he could only find a job...

The nice man in brown just delivered my Dr. Dre Beats! But....my computer is dead and I've no access to my music files. Oh, the irony. :mad:

(the Dell guy is suppose to be here between 3:30 and 5:30. where is he????)

Hanging out with mine, no doubt...It is shameful how dependent we become on our laptops. I have all my music on my desk top (fear is the only reason, some of you may remember the meltdown I had when I thought I lost 5k songs and my beloved DH turned around from a business trip to Canada to keep me off the nut ward), that being said... my laptop and the man in brown are yet to be seen. :mad: Happy headphones Pinkster, don't forget to put your phone on vibrate so you can hear it ring, lol! :p
