New Computer and ITunes

I just got my new laptop yesterday, and today I get the fun task of transferring files from one computer to the other. Can anyone tell me- with ITunes, am I going to lose all my playlists, or can I just reopen my account on the new computer? I think I'll be able to transfer my music with my IPod, but I'm not sure about the existing playlists on my account. This should be a fun day...

I just exported all my playlists- now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that I can get all my music transferred okay. It sounds simple enough to just use my IPod to put all my songs back on the new computer, but nothing is ever simple when it comes to me and computers. I am concerned that I will have to change the format of the song and that can get tricky.

The way Apple designed iPods, they only take music, you can't copy off of them, unless you have a special application. I use PodWorks,(http://www.scifihifi.com/podworks/) now that I think of it, it copies playlist from your iPod, too.
